Use the app all the time to look up words I don't know. I'm not a professional Linguist, but, the details are great, and I don't think I've ever needed a secondary source that had data that this app didnt. I'll also comment that the app's design is great - no nonsense, just displays the data you want. Lots of apps these days like to get in your way and add BS nobody asked for. This one just delivers a good lookup tool, and that's all it needs to do.

This program started great and has only grown better over time: more languages, a word of the day, etc. I thoroughly enjoy it. UPDATED: recently this added a word of the day quiz, which sounds great but doesn't work. Every day at the same time of day I receive 10 notifications about the first WOTD quiz. If I visit the app and select that feature it shows me a quiz but gives neither a word nor the text for the 4 selections. Filed a bug but no response. After months of this, down to 4 stars.

Great app! Easy to use: I can glance at the word and its brief etymological description in my notification panel, and if I want to explore that word further, I can click to go to the app for more on that word than one could ever dream of (!), I can add it to a favorite list(!),search for other words, click to see the word(s) of the day, and ohhhhh, sooooo much more! (Read the About page!!) Yes, my friend, you can nerd out on words here in a fun and easy way!!! And Premium's just $10/year!!!
