At the time of testing, we were in Southeastern Europe and the speeds you see above are without using a VPN. From here, we tested both services for 3 days in a row, 3 times a day, using 4 server locations in the UK, the US, Australia, and Japan.
Bear in mind we used their default protocols. In NordVPN, we set it to Automatic to let the provider decide on the best protocol. In Mozilla VPN, the default protocol is WireGuard and all tests have been performed on our Windows computer.

After performing these tests, we can say only one thing – NordVPN WINS. This provider is miles ahead and for some reason, Mozilla VPN performs poorly across all servers. The UK server was fast because our speed was still around 40-50 Mbps.
However, servers in Japan and Australia were turtle-like, with latency that hit 300 ms at one point. NordVPN stayed fairly hasty through all tests and despite the speed reduction, which is a byproduct of our distance to servers, the performance was solid.
